This is a fascinating, brief interview with Richard Serra. He says his status in the art world started to change from pariah to superstar when he first started making the Torqued Ellipses series. I get that. I walked through several of these pieces with my mother at the Dia-Beacon last December and we both got sea-legs and laughed giddily.
